The construction scale of Guangdong Petrochemical Refining and Chemical Integration Project is 20 million tons / year oil refining + 2.6 million tons / year aromatics + 1.2 million tons / year ethylene, together with the construction of 300000 tons crude oil terminal and the product terminal with a maximum berth of 100000 tons. The project covers an area of 953 hectares and is estimated to be 65.4 billion yuan.

Among them, the 2.6 million t / an aromatics combined plant is currently the largest single set of aromatics plant in the world, with a total of 689 units per set, which has the characteristics of high thermal integration, many high temperature and large diameter pipelines, large parts and equipment, large construction capacity of civil construction and steel structure, etc. After it is completed and put into production, it will greatly reduce the dependence of China's aromatics demand on foreign imports and enhance the self-protection ability of raw materials.

The hoisting raffinate tower is the core equipment of the aromatics combination unit, with a height of 116m, equivalent to the height of a 41-story building, a diameter of 13.8m, a maximum wall thickness of 145mm, and a lifting weight of 4606 tons. equivalent to the weight of more than 900 adult African elephants-it is not only the heaviest tower equipment in Asia, but also the tallest of its kind.

In the manufacturing process, the first Construction Company also set up a team of more than 300 "super welders", including model workers of the company, technical experts of Henan Province and technical experts of the whole country, which overcame many difficulties and took more than 8 months. through the use of 8 key technologies, such as multi-position flame cutting, ring seam submerged arc welding of super-large tower, integral bending forming of super-large diameter cylinder joint, the manufacturing task has been completed successfully. It not only effectively ensures the product quality and shortens the manufacturing period, but also reduces the risk of transportation and installation.

After the project is completed and put into production, the products mainly include oil refining products such as gasoline, aviation kerosene and diesel, as well as chemical products such as high-density polyethylene, low-density polyethylene, polypropylene, styrene and butadiene.
