After domestic substitution, the procurement cycle of NX80G polypropylene resin catalyst was shortened from 150 days to 30 days, and the cost was reduced by 56%.
NX80G polypropylene resin is the core raw material in the fields of fast food boxes, plastic cups, etc. in China by virtue of its excellent performance of "high bending modulus+high tensile yield stress". However, its production depends on imported catalysts, and it has long faced bottlenecks such as high price and long supply cycle, which seriously restricted the market competitiveness of NX80G polypropylene resin.
In order to solve the production problems, Ningxia Petrochemical launched the "Domestic Catalyst Substitution Campaign", and domestic enterprises in the United Nations carried out cross-disciplinary collaborative innovation. After two years of technical research and hundreds of times of formula optimization and process parameter optimization, the non-o-phthalic catalyst scheme with completely independent intellectual property rights was successfully selected. In the production stage, the technical team innovatively adopted the "back-to-back" technical disclosure mode, formulated a special scheme containing 18 core parameters, increased the detection frequency of key indicators to every 2 hours, and established a three-level control mechanism to achieve stable output of products with high melt flow rate, and achieved a substantial breakthrough in the domestic main catalyst in the polypropylene plant. Through the implementation of precise control of the whole process, the company finally achieved the goal of "zero fluctuation switching and zero quality abnormality" and realized 100% domestic substitution of catalysts.
