At present, Lanzhou Petrochemical has produced more than 60 tons of carboxyl nitrile rubber products, and the product quality has reached the standards of similar products abroad, which has been widely recognized by the market. The successful production of this product is not only the successful practice of independent research and development of new products and materials by Lanzhou Petrochemical Company, but also an important symbol of breaking through key technical barriers, successfully filling domestic technical gaps and breaking foreign technical monopoly.

Carboxyl nitrile rubber is mainly used to prepare rubber products, adhesives and mechanical parts with high oil resistance and wear resistance, and its market price is three times that of general nitrile rubber. "Before, the domestic demand for carboxyl nitrile rubber exceeded 3,000 tons/year, but it was completely dependent on imports. Carboxynitrile rubber has become the key technology and material for neck sticking. " Gao Zhixing said.

It is not uncommon for Lanzhou Petrochemical Company to actively break the technical blockade and try to overcome the bottleneck problem. In recent years, Lanzhou Petrochemical has focused on new energy, new materials and new undertakings, pursued new breakthroughs in scientific and technological innovation, and continued to strengthen the research and transformation of core technologies with the development idea of "basic+high-end". New products such as metallocene polyethylene materials, RP260 and LD26D medical polyolefin products, ultra-clean roughened film polypropylene, 110/220 kV ultra-high voltage cable material, new heat-resistant NBR and new thermal NBR have emerged one after another. Independent research and development has opened the door to new product development, further promoted the transformation and upgrading of the company's refining and chemical integration, and accelerated the transformation of the modern industry of energy and chemical materials.

In the research and development process of carboxyl nitrile rubber products, Lanzhou Petrochemical cooperated with China Petrochemical Research Institute and Northwest Chemical Sales Company to get through the integration process of research, production and marketing, formulate a systematic and perfect industrial trial production plan, and clarify 11 aspects of the development and production process indicators, operation cards and emergency plans, so as to achieve the goal of "one product, one policy" special management and control.
