Following the successful production of more than 100 tons of new C-type chlorinated polyethylene resin at the end of July, on August 5, Daqing Petrochemical sent materials to two downstream enterprises in Shandong for trial use. This progress marks the first time that China Petroleum has realized the industrial production of this kind of products, and the products have officially entered the stage of market application.
It is understood that chlorinated polyethylene resins are mainly divided into types A, B and C according to their properties and uses. Among them, C-type chlorinated polyethylene resin is mainly used to modify ABS resin. After further processing by downstream enterprises as a modifier, it can significantly improve the flame retardancy, impact, processing fluidity and thermal stability of ABS, and effectively avoid vertical dripping during ABS combustion. At present, the market demand for this type of products continues to climb.
Since the first R&D and mass production of Type A chlorinated polyethylene resin in 2012, Daqing Petrochemical has been guided by market demand, continuously increased investment in technological innovation, focused on the development of featured and high-end products, and constantly introduced new brands to meet the market environment and consumer demand. After years of tackling key problems, Daqing Petrochemical successfully expanded the number of chlorinated polyethylene series products to seven, and achieved import substitution in the field of high-end chlorinated polyethylene resin, greatly enhancing the market competitiveness of domestic materials. In order to ensure the smooth progress of production, the Polyolefin Department of Daqing Petrochemical Co., Ltd. cooperated closely with Daqing Chemical Research Center of Petrochemical Research Institute to accurately determine the production conditions and key parameters of polymerization reaction, and worked out a detailed production plan. Operators strictly enforce the process discipline, carefully monitor the plate, operate accurately and conduct detailed inspection; The technicians tracked and guided the whole process, fully responded to the challenges such as the first production and the precise control of hydrogen-carbon ratio, and quickly optimized and adjusted the process parameters according to the performance test data, creating conditions for subsequent large-scale production.
