Lanzhou Petrochemical seized the important strategic opportunity period of "the belt and road initiative" initiative to optimize and adjust the production structure. With the support of the group company, Lanzhou Petrochemical has successively built Changting catalyst, Changqing ethane to ethylene, 35,000 tons/year special nitrile rubber and other production devices in recent years, and eliminated a number of production devices with high energy consumption and low efficiency such as synthetic ammonia and urea, thus upgrading the equipment and production structure of the enterprise. Especially after Changqing ethane-to-ethylene project was put into operation, Lanzhou Petrochemical's ethylene production formed a new pattern of "three factories in two places" with an annual output of 1.5 million tons, and the enterprise entered the ranks of "million-ton ethylene production enterprises". After Changting catalyst production plant was put into use, Lanzhou Petrochemical became the FCC catalyst production enterprise with the widest product coverage and the most complete production varieties in China, and became the second catalyst production base in China and the fifth in the world.

Lanzhou Petrochemical pays attention to the development of environmental protection on the basis of meeting the requirements of national standards in oil production, and has successively completed the upgrading of national IV and V gasoline and diesel, and the upgrading of national VI diesel and national VI _ A gasoline. In 2021, the company completed the upgrading of national VI _ B gasoline quality and successfully achieved the "triple jump" of oil quality. Lanzhou Petrochemical has also developed new products of low-lead aviation gasoline and unleaded aviation gasoline, realizing full coverage of a series of aviation gasoline products and filling the domestic gap. Lanzhou Petrochemical has also become the only enterprise in China that can produce a full range of aviation gasoline.

Lanzhou Petrochemical's chemical products are developing towards intensive processing and high-end manufacturing, adhering to the principle of "one product, one policy", meeting the diversified, personalized and customized needs of customers, and focusing on "high precision and expertise", making great efforts to build three characteristic product clusters with great advantages, namely, synthetic resin, synthetic rubber and catalytic cracking catalyst, and forming three complete sets of technologies with independent intellectual property rights, namely, medical polyolefin resin, automotive polypropylene and metallocene polyethylene.

The polypropylene medical material RP260 produced by the company filled the domestic gap and broke the monopoly of foreign products on the domestic market, and won the silver award in the 24th National Invention Expo and the first prize of scientific and technological progress in Gansu Province. The company developed five new metallocene polyethylene products, which broke the monopoly of foreign patent holders on the core technology of metallocene polyethylene and filled the gap of China Petroleum in this high-end technology field. Synthetic resin electronic protective film, car materials, cable materials and other products are leading in China. Among them, car materials can replace imported products.

Lanzhou Petrochemical's rubber products take the lead in realizing environmental protection production of all brands in China. Styrene-butadiene rubber adheres to the principle of customization, and its products meet the requirements of EU environmental protection act, and enter the EU market and bias tire rubber field. The total production capacity of NBR ranks first in China and second in Asia, achieving a leap from "parallel running" to "leading".

Lanzhou Petrochemical has developed 8 new molecular sieve materials in the field of catalysts, forming 25 new brand catalyst products. While meeting the needs of domestic refining and chemical enterprises, it has opened up new overseas markets, and the overseas sales of catalytic cracking catalysts have greatly increased.
