At 10: 16 on February 17th, the whole process of Guangdong Petrochemical's 800,000-ton/year full-density polyethylene plant was opened, and qualified pellets were produced, which indicated that the full-density polyethylene plant with the largest oil production capacity in China was successfully started at one time, which further met the demand for chemical products in South China market and effectively reduced the dependence on foreign countries. So far, the three sets of polyolefin production units of Guangdong Petrochemical Refining and Chemical Integration Project, namely, 500,000 tons/year polypropylene unit, 400,000 tons/year high-density polyethylene unit and 800,000 tons/year full-density polyethylene unit, have all produced qualified products and entered the trial production stage.

Three sets of polyolefin plants in Guangdong Petrochemical Company are all contracted by EPC, a global engineering company. The 800,000-ton/year full-density polyethylene plant with qualified granular materials introduced three catalyst systems, namely titanium, chromium and metallocene, can produce high, medium and low-density polyethylene products, covering the application fields of film materials, injection molding, hollowing, wire drawing, pipes and so on. It is the full-density polyethylene production plant with the most complete brand, the widest application and the largest annual production capacity in China.

The 400,000-ton/year high-density polyethylene plant was successfully started on February 13th, and it is the largest single-line high-density polyethylene plant in China. The device has the characteristics of complex process flow, difficult operation and good product performance, and can produce unimodal, bimodal and trimodal high-density polyethylene particles. The products cover 28 kinds of high-performance special materials such as high-strength film materials, pressure pipeline materials, injection molding, blow molding, wire drawing and bottle cap materials.

The 500,000-ton/year polypropylene plant successfully started on February 9th is the UNIPOL polypropylene plant with the largest capacity of single-line extruder in the world. Using propylene, ethylene and hydrogen as main raw materials, the device can produce three types of products: homopolymer, random copolymer and impact copolymer. Under normal working conditions, the device can produce 78.75 tons of polypropylene granules per hour.

In the next step, Guangdong Petrochemical will continue to strictly implement the production scheduling plan and constantly optimize and improve the process conditions to ensure the safe, stable and long-term full-load operation of the plant.
