Liaoyang Petrochemical Company maximizes Steam efficiency

Liaoyang Sinopec set up an optimization team to continuously find the invalid heat tracing range and reduce the invalid output on the basis of the shutdown of the 8310-meter heat tracing pipeline.Professional and technical personnel have worked out the temperature curves of air temperature, room temperature and water supply to ensure that the heating temperature is controlled within a reasonable range.

In order to reduce the heat loss and improve the quality of steam supply, the optimization team continues to carry out the special renovation work of thermal insulation. A total of 5880 meters of pipeline insulation was replaced in the first half of this year. In the summer operation mode, the 210traps running in winter are shut down, and the steam pipeline of about 1500 meters is shut down. By strengthening inspection, 4.1 tons of steam can be saved per hour.

At the same time, the staff accurately control the hot line temperature according to the running temperature of the heating materials in each unit, improve the reuse rate of steam condensate through technical transformation, and introduce the recovered low-pressure steam condensate into the heating tower for recycling, to further maximize steam efficiency.
