Guo Haitao, director of the Institute of Energy Economics and Finance of China Shiyou University, believes that under the impact of tariff policy, China's chemical industry will face challenges such as high barriers to the import of raw materials, the export of finished products and the slowdown of domestic and international demand growth. "It can be dealt with by improving the self-sufficiency rate of raw materials, diversifying import sources, enhancing the competitiveness of finished products market and expanding export markets." Ethane is a by-product of natural gas exploitation and an important raw material for producing ethylene. At the same time of natural gas production, Tarim Oilfield flexibly adjusts the output task of ethane and other light hydrocarbon components, formulates a long-term and short-term production and operation plan, and comprehensively improves the operation capacity of ethane recovery units; More than 10 technologies, such as refrigeration balance of ethane system, were innovated, which solved the problem of long-term stable operation of the device. At present, the processing load of ethane recovery unit in Tarim oilfield has increased by 3%, the ethane yield has risen to 95.5%, and the daily output has increased by more than 60 tons.

At the same time, Lanzhou Petrochemical Company strengthened the special care operation of key equipment of polyolefin plant and expanded the space for increasing production and increasing efficiency. Since the beginning of April, Daqing Refining and Chemical Company has carried out planned window maintenance on two sets of polypropylene plants to improve the stable operation capacity of the plants. At present, the polypropylene PA14D-2 products and RP300R products produced by this device have been replaced domestically.

While improving the efficiency of the existing plant, Dushanzi Petrochemical Company, together with the Research Institute of Petrochemical Technology, developed metallocene polyethylene and polypropylene catalysts, and introduced four new metallocene polyethylene products, such as PE-RT pipe material mHD3702, to achieve a technological breakthrough in producing a series of metallocene polyolefin products using domestic catalysts.
