Rare earth rubber catalyst realizes automatic configuration!

As of May 1st, after Dushanzi Petrochemical Company realized the "one-key automatic preparation" of rare earth cis-polybutadiene rubber catalyst for the first time, the plant has continuously produced more than 300 tons of rare earth cis-polybutadiene rubber products, and the simultaneous long-term bottleneck test, formula optimization, load adjustment and other work progress is gratifying.


Within the scope of China Petroleum, SINOPEC is the only enterprise that realizes "one-key automatic preparation" of rare earth cis-butadiene rubber catalyst. As a key project of the first-line production problems of the group company in 2023, "one-key automatic preparation" provided a reliable guarantee for the long-term stable production of rare earth cis-polybutadiene rubber, greatly reduced the workload of post employees, and effectively improved the accuracy and reliability of catalyst preparation.


Rare-earth cis-1,4-polybutadiene rubber is the main raw material for manufacturing "green tires" in the future, and the production of rare-earth cis-1,4-polybutadiene rubber has always been a shortcoming in china rubber industry. The problems of low catalyst activity and unstable polymerization have restricted its industrial production. In 2021, after realizing the industrial production of rare earth rubber, Dushi Petrochemical focused on the research on the direct injection technology of high-performance narrow-distribution rare earth cis-polybutadiene rubber, and independently developed the rare earth cis-polybutadiene rubber process package.


In September, 2022, Dushi Petrochemical carried out the automation transformation of the catalyst system, and organized professional companies such as instruments and electricity to carry out the automation test of the rare earth catalyst preparation system of cis-polybutadiene rubber plant. In February this year, with the cooperation of the company's rubber department, after more than one month of exploration and debugging, Dushi Petrochemical realized the evolution of the preparation program from manual mode to automatic mode.
