Add new members to polyethylene family.

On September 1st, the reporter was informed that the solution polyethylene plant of Fushun Petrochemical Company has recently successfully produced ultra-low density polyethylene VLF8410 new material product, which has filled the gap of PetroChina in this product field and become a new profit growth point of the enterprise. Since it was put into production on August 26th, the company has produced 66 tons of this new material.

VLF8410 new material products have stronger softness, toughness and environmental stress cracking resistance, and are the raw materials of coating materials. At present, it is widely used in the fields of automobiles, packaging, wires and cables, medical devices and household appliances, etc., and also has a large market space in the new energy field.

Due to technical limitations, VLF8410 was mainly imported before. The polyethylene plant used in Fushun Petrochemical Company to produce this new material product is the only solution polyethylene plant in China at present. As early as the beginning of 2021, Fushun Petrochemical started to prepare new products and raw materials, organized technicians to analyze the technical difficulties in device development and production, conducted feasibility studies, and established development and production plans. In preparation, technicians gradually optimize and adjust the reaction control data, evaluate the possible risks in the switching process, and formulate corresponding emergency measures. During the production debugging, technicians accurately control the density, melting index and other data, so that the performance of products can reach the standard.
