For a long time, PetroChina has thoroughly implemented the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's instructions on vigorously enhancing domestic oil and gas exploration and development, continuously increasing scientific and technological innovation and tackling key core technologies, and has successively made major discoveries and breakthroughs in the new field of shale oil and gas in the past three years. Among them, the shale oil exploration located in the Ordos Basin has achieved good results frequently, which urges people to forge ahead.Changqing Oilfield made a major breakthrough in oil exploration in Qingcheng area in 2019, with proven shale oil reserves of 359 million tons, an increase of 143 million tons in 2020, and 550 million tons of geological reserves in the first five months of this year. So far, more than 1 billion tons of proven reserves have been obtained in Qingcheng Oilfield in less than three years, which has become one of the landmark achievements in China's oil and gas exploration field since the new century.

The surface of Qingcheng shale oil field is covered by thick loess in the loess plateau and the gully is vertical and horizontal, so it is very difficult for seismic exploration, drilling and fracturing transformation. At present, there are a total of 1.052 billion tons of proven oil reserves, which is a dazzling achievement obtained by PetroChina in increasing the strategic deployment of domestic oil and gas exploration. thanks to the continuous innovation of Changqing Oilfield in the geological theory of shale oil exploration in Ordos Basin, three-dimensional seismic and logging imaging technology in the Loess Plateau, but also from the breakthrough of the key core technologies of horizontal well drilling and volume fracturing.
