At 21: 28 on October 12th, the 80,000-ton/year SBS plant of Guangxi Petrochemical Company successfully produced qualified products, achieving a successful start-up. The successful commissioning of SBS device indicates that Guangxi Petrochemical has taken a crucial step in the field of manufacturing new synthetic rubber materials.
The 80,000-ton/a SBS plant in Guangxi Petrochemical Company adopts a complete set of technologies jointly developed by Global Engineering Company and Dushanzi Petrochemical Company, and its core anionic batch polymerization technology has completely independent intellectual property rights. Compared with traditional technology, this technology has obvious advantages such as short process, low energy consumption and good safety, and is at the leading level in the industry. SBS products produced by this technology have a wide range of application scenarios, which can be used in many fields such as shoemaking, asphalt modification, adhesive and polymer modification, and can provide high-quality raw materials for downstream manufacturers and effectively promote the coordinated development of the industrial chain. The 80,000-ton/a SBS plant in Guangxi Petrochemical Company was contracted by Xinjiang Huanqiu Engineering Company and constructed by CNPC No.1, which broke ground on November 28th, 2023 and took 589 days to complete.
The successful commissioning of the 80,000-ton/year SBS plant has realized the successful application of independent technology in large-scale industrial plants, effectively improved the product quality and production efficiency of Guangxi Petrochemical in the field of synthetic rubber, and injected strong new kinetic energy into seizing the commanding heights of the market and realizing sustainable development.
