Construction of methanol demonstration project

On August 29th, the reporter learned that anniversary Refining & Chemical Company is making every effort to promote the construction of a 1,000-ton green methanol demonstration project in response to the national green development strategy and promote industrial innovation. Based on renewable energy, the project produces green methanol by electrolysis of water to produce hydrogen and carbon dioxide hydrogenation technology, aiming at reducing carbon emissions and promoting sustainable energy development.

Under the background of energy transformation and the development of "two carbons and three new technologies", Daqing Refining & Chemical Company adheres to the concept of green development, makes full use of the advantages of regional resources, accelerates the improvement of industrial innovation capability, and continuously cultivates a green background of high-quality development.

The production of green methanol can make full use of the abundant scenery resources, biomass resources and carbon dioxide resources in Daqing, which is helpful to reduce the overall carbon emission intensity of enterprises, boost the development of green industries and improve the independent and controllable level of energy industry chain.

During the implementation of the project, Daqing Refining & Chemical Company carried out off-grid electrolysis of water to produce hydrogen. With the wind turbine and photovoltaic power station in Daqing Oilfield as power sources, the self-developed energy control system was used to run off-grid, realizing the real "load moving with the source", and the prepared green hydrogen was incorporated into the existing hydrogen pipeline network to provide raw materials for the subsequent green methanol production. At the same time, Daqing Center of Daqing Research Institute of Refining and Petrochemical Technology, Global Beijing Company and Global Jilin Company cooperated to build an industrial demonstration device for methanol production from carbon dioxide hydrogenation, relying on the existing hydrogen, carbon dioxide, nitrogen and public engineering resources, so as to realize the application of core technology with completely independent intellectual property rights in this project.

It is reported that the project is expected to produce the first batch of green methanol in late September. In the next step, Daqing Refining & Chemical Company will cooperate with Daqing Oilfield in depth, gradually integrate important resources such as wind, light, electricity and biomass in Heilongjiang, build devices according to the standards of high value-added green chemical products and obtain relevant certification, and fully develop the economic and social benefits of green chemical projects in new energy power generation, carbon reduction and emission reduction, and carbon tax trade with Europe.
