The 200,000-ton/a polypropylene plant of Guangdong Petrochemical Company was successfully delivered in Da Nanhai Industrial Zone, Jieyang City, Guangdong Province, and the construction lasted for 17 months.

The 200,000-ton/a polypropylene project is a newly added project to meet the requirements of Guangdong Petrochemical's high-quality development strategy, and it is the closing device for the construction of refining and chemical integration projects. The device adopts a unique gas-phase horizontal reactor and efficient JHC and JHN catalysts, which can produce 55 brands of high-end products such as homopolymer, random copolymer and impact copolymer.

Since the formal construction of the plant started on April 13th, 2022, Guangdong Petrochemical Company has organized scientifically, carefully planned and deployed, closely united all parties involved in the construction, and held daily project promotion meetings to optimize the construction organization in a timely manner in combination with the site conditions. At present, the device has entered the stage of tail-sweeping, and a series of work such as suppression, purging and unit single-machine commissioning are progressing steadily.

The 200,000-ton/a polypropylene plant shoulders the important responsibility of the development and production of high-end new material products of Guangdong Petrochemical, and will be the main force for the company to promote the differentiation and high-end of domestic polypropylene products.
