The PHR series of residue hydrogenation catalysts independently developed by the Petrochemical Institute have successfully completed a cycle of operation in Dalian Petrochemical, and the industrial application test of residue hydrotreatment technology in Russia has been successful, which marks a new level in the research and application of residue hydrogenation technology in China.


Russia is one of the important crude oil suppliers in China. Russian oil residue has high contents of sulfur, nitrogen, residual carbon and metal, so it can not be directly processed in FCCU. In this industrial test, Dalian Sinopec put forward higher requirements for residual carbon value and metal content of hydrogenated residue on the basis of the design index of the original unit for the first time, and increased the nitrogen content control index of hydrogenated residue.Through the technical innovation of catalyst carrier preparation, catalyst gradation optimization and catalyst dense phase loading technology, the innovation team of fixed bed residue hydrogenation technology in Petrochemical Institute has overcome the technical problems of deep denitrification and carbon residue conversion of Russian residue. Russian crude residue hydrotreating technology has been successfully developed, and high-quality catalyst production, loading and start-up guidance have been completed. During the industrial test operation, the team regularly evaluates and communicates with the plant technicians to protect the stable operation of the plant.


The three indicators of stable operation days of the industrial application, cumulative processing feedstock oil and single ton catalyst processing feedstock oil are 61%, 62% and 62% higher than the design value, respectively, realizing the stable operation of ultra-long period and full load.


The residue hydrogenation catalyst has been applied four times in Dalian Xitai, Dalian Petrochemical and Taiwan PetroChina, and the complete set of residue hydrogenation technology has been applied to the construction of two 1.5 million t / a residue hydrogenation units in Jinzhou Petrochemical and Jinxi Petrochemical Company. it provides a strong technical support for the high-quality development of the company's refining and chemical business.
